MKE My Brother’s Keeper Report
I had the pleasure of being asked to design and create graphics for the City of Milwaukee’s initial report on their My Brother’s Keeper program – a nationwide initiative launched by President Obama to build ladders of opportunity for boys and young men of color. The project included the design of a 12-page executive summary, followed by a 78-page final report, produced in both print and digital formats. We decided upon a stoic and modern color scheme of golds, greys, and browns to complement the black and white photography used throughout. While some creative commons images were used in the report, the majority of images used were provided by members of the local community who are all in their own ways involved in expanding opportunities for young men and boys of color.
